Mixin' it Up!

Training, tasting and tips to make seasonal food selection & preparation easier!

Part of Main Market Co-op’s ‘Learn with Us’ educational programs, Mixin’ it Up! brings us into the kitchen with each new season. In partnership with the Inland NW Culinary Academy, these quarterly chef demos offer ideas and information to help choose and enjoy the best foods that relate to the time of year, and where to find them.


Our classes feature local professional chefs, who share their favorite ways to eat in season. The demonstrations highlight local ingredients, and cooking techniques that help you succeed in your home kitchens. Special guests and topics will include authors, chefs, food for and by youth, farmer/rancher/fisher visits, food preservation and more!

Co-hosted with our partner, the Inland Northwest Culinary Academy

March 8th – Chef Tobin and Using the Whole Chicken - 6:30-8:30pm

Sharpen your knives and your wits in the kitchen with INCA Instructor, Chef Tobin.  A huge asset in training the chefs who fill the restaurant kitchens of Spokane, let him show you how to be more confident in your own. Bring your own chefs knife, apron and side towel.  So hands-on, you take the chicken home with you!

$30.00 for co-op members / $40.00 for non-members.

Tickets must be purchased by Sunday, February 28th  2010
